We’re not going to give you any super complicated recipes, so don’t worry about being overwhelmed. Here at Metropole apartments in Upper Kirby, we like to keep it simple. The most complicated recipe on this list is stuffing, and that’s just because stuffing requires about ten different types of spices.

If you’re trying to figure out what you should bring to Thanksgiving, let this blog be your guide. Also, be sure to share this post with your friends! That way, you can guarantee that at least one of these delicious recipes will be featured at your friendsgiving get together.

Sweet Potato Casserole

You’ll need these ingredients to make this recipe:

  • Sweet Potatoes

  • Butter

  • Sugar

  • Milk

  • Egg

  • Vanilla Extract

  • Salt

  • Cornflakes

  • Pecans

  • Brown Sugar

  • Mini Marshmallows

We’ll start things off with a classic Thanksgiving dish. The best part about this Sweet Potato Casserole is the top layer. You can cover this dish with gooey marshmallows, and crunchy pecans and flaky, well, cornflakes. When you serve this dish, be sure to give everyone a good portion of the top layer. Sweet potatoes are great and all, but this dish is special because of the stuff on top.

Garlic Roasted Brussels Sprouts

You’ll need these ingredients to make this recipe:

  • Honey

  • Balsamic Vinegar

  • Brussels Sprouts

Believe it or not, brussels sprouts can be savory. That’s certainly the case with this dish, which pairs brussels sprouts with bacon and honey. If you have to be the person at the party that brings vegetables, you can at least make them tasty. THese brussels sprouts are perfect for a pre-dinner snack, just be sure to follow the recipe exactly. Brussels sprouts get get crunchy when cooked right, and that’s when they’re at their best.

  • Butter

  • Fresh Parsley

Don’t let that long list of ingredients scare you, folks. Most of the steps to this recipe just involve dropping dashes of spice into a crockpot and letting the dish cook itself. Don’t forget about the first ingredient on this list, because hawaiian dinner rolls are the single most delicious form of bread out there. You can argue with that statement all you want, but one bite of this stuffing will change your mind immediately.

Jalapeno-Topped Cornbread Muffins

You’ll need these ingredients to make this recipe:

  • Flour

  • Cornmeal Baking Soda

  • Buttermilk

Jalapeno is a magical ingredient that seems to go with almost everything. We love it on these cornbread muffins. You can shop up the jalapeno and mix it up in the cornbread, or just slice it up and bake a couple pieces into the top layer. Either way, the spice pairs well with the sweetness of the honey and cornbread.
