Your Apartments in Upper Kirby Talk Dream Kitchens

  |     |   Uncategorized

If you want to create and ideal kitchen at your Greenway Plaza apartments, you’re going to have to figure out what it is that you want out of a kitchen. Are you just hoping to create a beautiful space, or do you want it to be as functional as it is beautiful? We’re not going to tell you to knock down walls or install new lighting — seriously, please don’t do that — but we do have some ideas for how you make your kitchen a little more comfortable.

After all, the more comfortable your kitchen, the more likely you are to use it. The more often you use your kitchen for cooking, the less often you’ll eat out. And the less often you eat out, the more money you’ll have in your bank account! That’s what we call a win-win-win.

Anyway, we want you to love your kitchen so much that you never feel like eating out. If you’d like to get to that point in your life, check out the tips in the blog below! When you’re done reading, please be sure to share this post with your friends and neighbors at your community of apartments in Greenway Plaza.

Buy yourself a brand new kitchen toy

Next time you’re at Target, let yourself splurge on a new gadget for your kitchen. Once you have your new toy, you’ll feel like a kid on Christmas morning every time you walk into your kitchen. You’ll want to use your new toy all the time, and that will help you get in the habit of hanging out in your kitchen.

Make a point to always, always clear the sink

Picture this — you come home from work and you’re all psyched to make dinner. You’ve got the recipe planned out and everything. However, as soon as you step into your kitchen you see a pile of dirty pots and pans in your sink. Cleaning them seems like a lot of work, so you decide to bail on cooking and order pizza instead.

Don’t let this happen to you — clean out your sink!

Set up a mini-entertainment center

This is the move for anyone who wants to enjoy their favorite shows while they cook your favorite meals. For most people, the downside of cooking is that they have to be pulled away from Netflix while they’re in the kitchen making dinner. When you order food, of course, you don’t have to deal with this problem. You just sit on the couch and wait for your food to arrive.

When you set up a mini-entertainment center, however, you get to save money and watch your TV shows at the same time. We recommend grabbing an iPad or other tablet, then finding a shelf that’s at eye-level. If you don’t see one, consider investing in a small shelf that you can throw on top of your counter. Next, grab a Bluetooth speaker so you can have some high-quality audio, and press play!

With that, we’ve reached the end of our January blogs! We’ll be back next month with more blogs, so don’t stress. We’d like to take this moment to thank everyone who took some time out of their busy beginning-of-the-year schedule to read the latest post from Metropole apartments.
